I found the following press release at Yahoo!'s web site on July 17, 2000. It refers to the launch of a web site called television.com. They plan to video stream radio programs, and one of the programs they plan to make available on the web is The Star Lounge, a live show that airs on radio station STAR 98.7 FM in Los Angeles, CA. (If you recall, Tori was part of the Star Lounge 99 CD.) The web site television.com officially launched on August 16, 2000, but as of January 9, 2001, television.com still said the Star Lounge material was "coming soon". (Click here to see this for yourself.) So keep checking the site for it! The press release specifically mentions that Tori will be one of the artists streamed on the site. You can read the full press release below. I will be keeping an eye on this and updating you as needed.

television.com Lands Stellar Deal With Star Radio

Deal Brings Sting, Alanis Morissette and Danny Bonaduce to the Web

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Larry Namer, CEO of television.com -- the new way to connect to the world of television -- today announced a deal to video stream radio programs "The Jamie & Danny Show," hosted by former "Partridge Family" star Danny Bonaduce and Jamie White, and Star Lounge which features live acoustical performances by top recording artists like Sting, Matchbox Twenty and Alanis Morissette.

"television.com provides an exciting new medium where artists can perform in an interactive environment," said Jill Schwartz-McKiernan, vice president of content at television.com. "Being able to watch and interact with radio programs enhances the experience for the audience and gives talent the opportunity to work in this new entertainment medium."

The syndicated "Jamie and Danny Show," which ranks in LA's top five morning radio programs, broadcasts weekday mornings from (5:30-10 a.m. P.S.T.) on Star 98.7 in Los Angeles, an AMFM Inc. (NYSE: AFM - news) station. The show will be streamed over television.com live every Wednesday morning.

"Now our audience will be able to watch and interact with us -- and each other -- during the show, adding a whole new component to the experience," said host Bonaduce. "With multiple cameras in our studio, users will even be able to select their own viewing angles. I'd like to think that most people will be looking at me, but I think that Jamie may be the winner there."

"The Star Lounge" was developed to showcase performances by artists played on STAR 98.7, and now viewers will be able to watch these intimate live performances on-demand at television.com. Star Lounge artists include suchchart-toppers as Tori Amos, Goo Goo Dolls, BareNakedLadies, Fiona Apple, Natalie Merchant, the Dave Matthews Band, Sugar Ray, Sting, Alanis Morissette, Matchbox Twenty, Seal, Chris Issak, Third Eye Blind, Sarah McLachlan, Smash Mouth, The Cranberries, Melissa Etheridge, Seal and Sheryl Crow.

"Adding both visual and interactive elements to both of these programs fills a growing demand," said Ken Christensen, general manager and vice president at Star Radio. "And advertisers will love an opportunity to broadcast their messages on television.com in the context of these great performers."
